Not tax advice

PolyTax is software that performs calculations on data you provide. It is not a tax preparer, accountant or law firm, and nothing it produces is tax, legal or investment advice. The IRS has not issued guidance on how prediction-market event contracts are taxed; every treatment we show is an interpretation. You are responsible for your return. Review the results with a qualified tax professional before filing.

Accuracy

Results depend on the completeness of the data you import and on assumptions described in each report. We work to make the calculations correct but provide them as is, without warranty. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the report in question.

Your data

Files you upload are read in your browser and stored only in your browser's local storage. Polymarket history is fetched by your browser directly from Polymarket's public API. We do not receive, store or sell your trades. To show Kalshi market names and look up year-end prices, market tickers and dates (nothing else) pass through our server to Kalshi's public API. Clearing data in the app removes it from your device.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. A purchase unlocks the filing package for one tax year in the browser you bought it in. If something is wrong with your report, email support@polytax.io within 30 days for a fix or a refund.
